The recently found biomedical optics group at the Medical Physics division is headed by Prof. Rainer Leitgeb.

The main task of the group as work package leader at the Medical Physics Division will be Doppler optical coherence tomography (DOCT) where the principal investigator has a internationally reputed research history.

Rainer A. Leitgeb, head of the MUW-Biomedical Optics Group, Associate Professor of Medical Physics: He works in the field of OCT since 1999 and played a pioneering role in the establishment of Fourier domain OCT.
